They did something to the 3rd gens because they won't do that like you described. Believe me I've tried, I can get some out of it but nothing like what it should be able to give me.

Yeah. They made them fat and lazy. I had an 05 quad with the 4.7, auto and3.55 gear just like my 2000 model has. It didn't feel anywhere near as energetic driving them back to back. Ended up getting rid of the 05 and kept the 00 model.

my shift kit got rid of alot of the slip in the tranny. seems to be more peppy now

It would spin them when first installed a little, nothing big but now that it has settled in it dont do it anymore. The tires I have are pretty sticky too though

i have the awd model and i can do it if i rip around a corner at a dead stop, cant do it in the rain at a stand still but the snow is soon to come lol. I LOVE NY

Hey Turbo,
What kit did you use? I have the transgo -hd2 kit but have not had time to install it yet.
did you install the resistor?
did you have to remove the crossmenber?

Also, did you change out the transfluid to amsoil?

AND, was it worth it?

It is just the 45rfe kit not the hd2 kit

yes i switched to amsoil
yes i put the resistor in
yes it is worth it
yes i had to take the crossmember off


make sure the l/r vavle is out before you put the new one in
ask me how i know
