New Dakota Owner Here..
Hello all, I'm new to the Dakota world and I thought I'd stop in and say Hi. I recently took over payments from a friend on a 2006 Dakota TRX4 Off-Road. It has the Laramie package with the High Output V8. It's also the crew cab version. From what I'm told and by doing my own research it seems this Dakota is the top of the line and the only option mission is a sunroof i believe. Anyhow, best part is it has less than 8K miles on it.
I really like the truck and look forward to learning more about.

wow sounds pretty awesome! The TRX4 combined with the Laramie package is what I would have wanted on my truck with the HOV8. Congrats on your new truck and feel welcome to come on in and get to know all of us here
thanks for the warm welcome. the truck is damn nice. i think that is what pulled me to it. I wasn't a big truck fan at all but after sitting in it with all the interior amenities plus the power and ride quality, it quickly grew on me.
One quick question though. wit hte Laramie package comes the Alpine soundsystem. I was reading where that package includes provisions for Sirius Radio.. How can I confirm it does indeed allow for Sirius. I currently live in Hawaii, so we don't get Sirius or XM here, but I'll be moving back to tennessee in a few months and I'd like to know if I'll have access to it there..
thanks

Your truck should already have the equipment in there for the satellite radio, so all you will need to do is contact Sirius and supply to them your truck's VIN number I believe, and then it'll be activated and ready for use. To find out and confirm you have the equipment, hit MODE on your radio until it displays on the screen "Satellite" and tells you there's no signal. I have the stuff in my truck for it too, but I decided not to renew my subscription. Living out in los angeles makes traffic reports kind of pointless, because wherever you go it's grid lock lol. My dad has Sirius so whenever I want to check out if there are new releases for songs I just check there and download them on iTunes later.

i don't think it has it.. i checked for an antennea and there isn't one.. i think vehicle shipped to Hawaii are automatically shipped without things like Sirius, XM, and even gps-base navigation... the only thing that works here is OnStar...
