Default Truck died....AGAIN

Well I was leaving McDonalds, (try their new southern chicken sandwich, it tastes like chik-fil-et) and the truck just died when I started moving again...it always happens the same way.. I am stopped, I start moving and then release gas and it dies..3 times now, gas station, cvs, and now McDonalds....

So when, if at all, has your truck done it? Have you taken to the dealer? What have they said?

How many people here has it happened to?

I think it happened on my 06 v6 once when i FIRST got it, and them I had a recall to the PCM and never again had I expierenced even a drop in rpm while idle.

When I first got mine, it did that, especially if I hit the brakes because traffic would come to a dead stop. But it hasn't happened in a long time. And... I have the Jet Chip in too.

I had it happen to me once before, when I had it in for some warranty work on the shocks the first time the dealer told me they flashed the PCM with updated software while they were working on it. Hasn't ever stalled on me again, I'm not sure if that did it or if the first time was just a fluke but no complaints either way.

My truck did that right after I bought it, took it to the dealer and the PCM was reflashed with upgraded software. It is an ongoing problem with all 3rd gen dakotas the PCM had a flaw in it with the software. The upgrade prevents the PCM from kicking your vehicle off after it finds a flaw.
