Best way to check if anti-spin is working?
If you lift both reat tires off the ground and turn one of them forward, if the other one turns the same direction, it's posi, if the other one turns the opposite direction, it's not posi.

You missed the part about letting off the brake pedal.
You missed the part about letting off the brake pedal.
before you get out of the truck you can let off the brake pedal,
and on a side note whil you are doing this the truck will probalby move forward a little bit, not much but make sure you have space in case you let off too soon

idk if mine has one, but making an almost backward turn coming out of work i feel a bump almost like hitting a curb w/ the tires, but im not hitting a curb, and today i got my tires to break traction for the first time on dry road,
, altho i didnt get a chance to stop and see if both spun or not, but thats how i would do it
step one start truck and put tranny in 1st
step two, apply brake w/ left foot
setp three, push gas pedal down until you hear screeching sound
step four, put truck back in park and shut it off and walk around to see how many black lines youleft on the pavement

That is good to hear. I hope it's true but I've had 6 vehicles that started under 100k. All 6 had problems and died or were unloaded. I've had 3 with 100+k on them. One became a reef, one blew its guts out and the 3rd is still in my driveway waiting for deposable cash to get it running again.
'72 Duster Slant 6100k to 120kreef (Navy towed it as abandoned)
'87 Mazda 323 42k to 97k wrecked
'73 Toyota Corona 120k to 125k timing chain blew its guts
'87 Chevy Spectrum ??? brush fire got it
'92 Madza B2600 11k to 93k computer died
'93 Chevy Caprice ??? to 95k sold when radiator and overheating started
'00 Neon 7 to 30k wrecked
'02 Nissan Sentra Spec V 0 to 94k blew a piston
'85 Mazda RX-7 132k to 139k broken spark plug led to engine replacement currently no spark
Still kicking...
'02 Mit. Lancer 0 to 55k
'06 Dak 5932 to almost 10k now
There was also a Merc Topaz the wife bought before we moved in together. I hate all Fords. Had to knock her up to convince her to trade it. Rear seat wasn't big enough for a backwards facing kiddie seat. It lost both front window motors after the warranty ran out.
'91 Merc Topaz 0 to ??? traded for Caprice in '95.

I've had 5 vehicles before this one (since getting my license in 2002) and all of them had over 100k. First one was a 93 Sierra 2wd with 193k miles, sold that to get something with 4x4. Then a '90 Suburban with over 200k, ran great but had too much rust to pass inspection so I sold that and picked up a 95 chevy Z71 with 156,000 miles. That thing ran great, I'd probably still have it if my parents hadn't forced me to sell it (they were worried I wouldn't be able to afford gas once I went to college, judging by current prices and the mileage that got they were right). Picked up a 94 Integra GSR and drove that for 1 1/2 years or so, had over 200k on it when I sold it. Then a 98 Isuzu trooper with 101k or so, planned on keeping that for awhile but sold it two months later when my grandfather offered me a deal on the Dak I couldn't refuse. Out of all of them I had to put the most money into repairs for the Integra, it was the most fun to drive but the most expensive too. Always makes me laugh when people talk about how lousy reliability is with domestic vehicles and how great it is with imports. I beat the living daylights out of my Chevy all the time and the only thing that ever went wrong with it was the AC stopped blowing cold air. My grandfather had a 96 Ram that he rolled on the turnpike at 85, insurance totalled it on sight, we bought it back and drove it home from the junkyard with no problems at all, just looked real crappy
If these Dakotas are anything like my past American trucks I expect it to keep going for a loooong time.

my dad had a 96 dak that he bought new and drove it until it needed new plugs the 2nd time(the dealer did them the first time and cross threaded the one up against the firewall on the driver side) then he traded it in on his 03 qc, and he never had any problems
