RE: Jet chip problems
well, I had a stage 1 and my old G-tech said it gained around 18 or some crap. (i dont remember, but it is posted somplace)
The butt dyno told me it did something. I could also roast tires if I wanted, and befor I couldnt.
I still say the biggest difference I have seen is from exhaust and power wire.

i was told its only recomended you dont have to do the 180 stat, my buddys got a 04 lightning with 500hp and never did the t stat and it was recommended so i figured u dont need it,its going back today to make sure its working, im almost positive its not, i just want to get a sense to see who says you could feel the difference and who says it sucks.....

RE: Jet chip problems
I was just looking to get a stage 2 for my HO also, can you confirm you have the 90403S chip. This is what JET told me when I asked them about this chip for the HO....
"You will gain 16 horsepower and 19 ft lbs of torque to the wheels from 1500 rpm to W.O.T".
I think thats about 8% increase over stock at the wheels which should help a little. The more HP/TQ these motors make from performance parts the less you will feel when you add the parts one at a time, I think if all added at the same time you would really feel a difference.
I know that my 0-60 is still being restricted by the Da#$ torque management for the transmission, I can feel it working up to about 50 mph. This may be why you didn't feel much and maybe it will pull harder above that speed. The chips may be more agressive in the summer also when you are not already putting out the hightorque. With the cooler temps in MN my truck really digs in now and the computer is holding it back..lol.We just need a flash/chip that overides the torque managment system..............PLease keep us up to date on this issue.

RE: Jet chip problems
I have a 2006 Ram 3.7/6 Speed. I did the K&N cold intake and Jet Stage 1. I had my truck ran on the dyno. It went from 212hp to 239hp at the wheels. The exhaust was restrictive so I just put a 3" Flowmaster 40 series with a 90* exit before the rear tire. Its low end picked up big time. My suggestion is to do what I am about to do again. drive it to a dyno shop. Run it without the chip first. When you get the chip run it again. See if the powerban changes.
