265/75r16?
can these tires[265/75r16] fit on my stock 06 dakota? i can't decide on to go with a body lift or a leveling kit. what would be the best for this truck sense no one makes a suspension kit for it? i'm wanting to run Dick Cepek all terrian tires 265/75r16. any one run these tires? i have heard good thing about them.
Hey, Im running 265/75-r16s on my 06 dakota. I had them on the truck when the truck was stock, and they never really rubbed. I did the Trail Master leveling kit, and a 2" lift block kit for the rear leaf springs. The leveling kit was $80, and the lift blocks were $20. So for $100 I got a 2 inch lift, and then the larger tires gave me a bit more clearance. It looks great, and makes other 06 dakotas look much smaller.
I would say go with a trailmaster leveling kit, and 1" suspension blocks for the rear, then throw your new tires on, the difference is quite amazing for just $100. The best part is, if you do the TM kit and 1" blocks (mild rake) or 2" blocks (factory rake) You dont need to change shocks, struts or anything, everything feels near stock.
I dont really have any pics anymore, but I posted a commparison of a stock 06 dakota next to mine a while back, try searching for it!

what did you have to trim? i see you had to take offthe front mud guards. i was looking at running the Dick Cepek fun counrty II all terrian tire. i would go with a mud terrian tire but with driving to work and college home and etc. i really dont know if i can get that good of tread wear with muds and i only going in fields for deer and pheasant hunting. this truck is more of a daily driver not really a mudder.
