Sup everybody. Im currently thinking about getting an 08 Dakota sometime next year. I just wondered, will the 05-07 Leveling kit/coil spacers work on the 08s? I was under the impression the 08 changes were merely cosmetic and the new 4.7?

Also, once leveled with either a 2" or 2.5" leveling kit, whats the max size tire that would fit w/o a body lift?

Lastly, what is the stock backspacing of the stock 16x8s that come on the TRX4 package?

Its hard to say if the TM spacer kit will work with the 08. Its SUPPOSED to be all the same but when theres quite a few changes, even cosmetic, sometimes a company wont support it unless they get to test fit on the 08s. So you would have to actually take a look when it comes out, to see if its all the same.

The trailmaster leveling kit seems to give everyone a 1.5" lift. With that, you can fit 265/75-r16s which is around a 32" tire.

I have the leveling kit and some 2" leaf spring blocks, and im running the 265/75s with no rub. The rear never rubbed reguardless of the blocks. The front doesnt rub at all with the leveling kit.

 

What kinda stock rake do the trucks have? Ive seen a 2.5" kit on ebay from a reputible company, but didnt know if thatd be too much.

 

i think that 2.5 is the uniform leveling size to remove the rake

 

Seems like most the TM kit Daks (2" stated ) seem to bring it just right (from what I have seen pics of) Depends also on spring age/wear etc. Could be 2.25, could be 1.75 according to the TM people. Apparently it is a YMMV.

Didn't measure mine before and after but it sits nice and level with the TM kit.
