WELL by 2010 there was talk bout making all dodge trucks diesel...which i think would be amazing...I mean think about it...turbo diesel dakota...that would be hot...I would buy it...cause i want a diesel but all of them seem to be just a little to big for my comfort!

I could see the need, once this one's paid off, to upgrade to a full size, or a new Dakota if the tow rating becomes a bit higher. Right now, though, I'm quite satisfied with my Dakota. A diesel would be nice, too.

Whoa whoa whoa, do the 05-07 have those tie downs up at the front of the bed?? I see your liner is cut out and there are tie downs. One of my biggest woes about my 06 is theres only tie downs by the tailgate....or is my aftermarket bed liner covering them??

i like the looks of the 08 daks. when my 2001 wears out like 10 years from now, as long as they still look pretty decent i'll probably get one. although, i would probably be leery of the 4.7, but im sure dodge would have a new v-8 by then. hopefully an improved version of the old LA v-8's. i like having an engine you can actually work on.

I have '06 as well. there are no tie down brackets in front like in the rear, except on the floor. If you don't see the locations on the floor, your bedliner is covering them up.

Yeah, I am thinking this is my last dak too... I love em, but as my kids get bigger, it gets smaller.
So I guess a fullsize or a SUV will be the next family ride. (not any time real soon though. )
I only have one child, so keeping a truck this size would'n't be bad, but I wouldneed the quad cab. But who knows. I may go with a Ramby then...somehting else. Lots of things will change between now and '09 or '10.

I'm thing about getting a price on the 08 bed adjustable system. If its too crazy price wise than I'll go with third party.
