There is a way to turn off the seat belt chime listed in the manual.

 

The manual does give some basic function control via a series of turn key/sit in seat commands but there a bunch more that can be done using the Dealers hand-held computer like turning the two horn beeps off with remote start.

 

anyone know if they make a remote start that goes with our key? instead of having a whole different key pad because in that case im not going to get it........

 

I have a buddy that works at a dealer here that im going to have reset my spedo and do a few other things

 

Jamey, does your friend have the electronic equipment to do this, or will it be done mechanically some how? The instrument pod or cluster is a system of its own and the data such as millage is part of it acording to DCX CAN-B info. I have been gathering.
I'm trying to get into either hacking the systemwithin theUNIX/Linux OS that the program runs in. I have downloaded RAW CAN-B program but I need to go places that I will need help with.

 

he is a dodge tech so he has the equipment. im not sure what all can be done. guess ill find out when time comes

 

can someone give me a page number as to where the seat belt chime instructions are. i couldn't find them in the PDF>

 

off the top of my head i believe you turn the key to on sit in seat fasten and fasten seat belt three times ending with a fasten then you hear a chime and it is disabled. This is only off the top off my head as I did when I first got the truck 2 years ago. It's not in the service manual it is in the owners manual that comes with the truck.
