So who's going to be the first to bolt the new 3 valve heads on their 4.7?
Me?
Anyone else planning on doing this? My neighbor is a chrysler engineer and says these heads will bolt on no problem, but I'm not taking his word alone before I do some more research.

These are the new heads used on the 2008 models right? Is that the only change they made to the 4.7 or are there others?
Well as I understand it, the pistons and rods are also different but I believe that wasto help with bottom end harmonics for a smoother running engine. The fuel delivery was said to have been modified but I'm not clear on what they changed. Then theirs the dual spark plugs per that will need to dealt with as far as the computer program change in the CAN-B system and the hardware for the spark delivery etc. I say it’s a bit more than just heads. It might be better to wait (if ever) for a 4.7 crate engine already to go with maybe 350 hp as crate engines are race bread but can also be street legal in some cases.
you would be better off taking the stock head and getting that done. to much work for the 08 head to go onto the 05-07 motor with the new sparkplug design. plus it would be a waste.

Extra 50-70 hp is a waste?[&:][&:][&:]

I thought I read something about there being 2 spark plugs per cylinder in the 2008 4.7.

If you think about it though, couldnt you just splice the feeds for the coils to make two coil packs per cylinder hot?
