In the latest issue of 4 wheel and off road mag they have a story on a 1500 ram an 07 or 08 I think and they are installing the rancho quick lift struts. The struts look exactly like the ones on our trucks so why the heck doesn't rancho make the quick lift struts for our truck. They may have to do a little tweeking for our trucks but I would rather have the quick lift struts than using spacers.

I'm not sure about 08s but I thought the rest of the Rams still use coils...

unfortunately that info has been known since at least July.. Don't think there is a single person here or maybe anywhere else that has ever been able to put an aftermarket (correct fit)front shock on these trucks yet.

More talk about shocks, still no action...Still no aftermarket manufacturer has heeded our call.

I'd be willin' to wager that my truck will be eligible for "antique" tags before"they"get a decent shock to us.

I still don't see why it has taken so long for the aftermarket guys to rectify this long-running and continuing saga/problem.

I've been comparing our struts to several other trucks and ours is a completely diff design. Most struts have the typical O mount at the bottom of it. As some of you are probably aware ours is an open C design. Not very common which makes finding a swap from another vehicle pretty hard...So far all the newest trucks with struts do not use this design.

Well here is a picture of a rancho quick lift strut being installed on a 2006 dodge ram. Look at the bottom of the strut look familiar.

Boy that wheel speed sensor wire looks like it is about to snap. Don't know about the length of the shock though.

Well I'd find a junkyard strut for the 06 Ram first and see if it fits. A stock Ram may be enough to even lift the front a little.
