im looking to buy the 180 degree themostat, does it come with everything like gaskets or anytthing or it just one thing to install?

 

it comes complete with everything. i went and purchased the napa 530800 180 same stat as the 318/360. alot cheaper. had to take off old gasket and install on new stat. factory stat is on the left and napa on the right. all i had to do was trim that little notch into the housing with my dremel tool. did not bother with the breather hole

ok, so the napa and jet 180 thermostat is basically the samething.

 

yes. the jet comes with the notch and gasket for 30.00 and the napa was 5.00. but you need to do the work which is easy

the part number is 10177you can get it from jegs.com. but just search it in google you can probably find more sites.

 

jegs has the stat for 34.99 and then there is 15.00 for shipping. what a waste. any 180 stat for the 318/360 years 97 and up will work in the 4.7. all you need to do is cut that little notch and replace the gasket from the factory stat to the new stat. for under 10.00 you cant go wrong. so when you go to the parts store ask for the 5.2/5.9 stat. most places dont cross reference with the 4.7/3.7
