Went out this am to find several inches of fresh snow, on top of the 6-7 from a few days ago. I put it into 4WD and the tire still spun a bit, so I popped it into 4LO which got me out into the street. Once in the street, I put it into 4HI, but the 4LO light continued to flash(while the 4WD was lit, as well) I switched into 2WD, but it seems that the truck is locked into 4LO and I have no idea how to correct the problem on my own. The 4LO light blinks on the dash. I'd appreciate any advice that could be offered. Thank you.
shut the truck off, then put it into 2wd, once you start the truck it should slide out and into gear. if not drive backwards until you here it clunk then it should be ok. if not drive it off a cliff, this seems to solve alot of problems
also crawl under truck and see if there is any frozen ice jammed into where the driveshaft goes in and out of the yoke. there could be chunks blocking the movement.
Thank you, superdak05. If the third option proves to be the best choice, should I stay in the truck as it goes over? I KNOW that would solve many problems not related to the truck !!
I do appreciate you posting so quickly. Thanks again !
