What do you guys think?
I have to go back anyway, so why the hell should I have to fix their f-up? Thank god it was only the antenna and they didn't forget to tighten a lug nut or a bolt on the suspension.
They said last time that there's nothing wrong with the trans or the front end and their obviously is. A service manager even took it for a drive with me last time and was like, there's nothing wrong with how it shifts. Yea, you moron. You're driving it like old ppl screw. And, of course, the front end wasn't clunking either when he was in it.
This time I guess maybe I have to grab the guy who thinks his $hit doesn't stink, who oversees the whole service area, and shove his head under the truck while I'm trying to shift in and out of gear and when driving through potholes, over sewer covers, or going over speed bumps and maybe he'll hear the noises THEN. I even asked the service writer to check for TSBs for my year and model on the problems I was complaining about and that didn't even do any good. From being on here and reading about problems some of you guys are having, or have had, with your trucks (like rivets on a-arms coming loose?) I would think that when you TELL them where and what to look at, they just might find the problem. And especially with the trans. When they know the pilot and throwout bearings had to be replaced once already, and now I'm telling them that it shifts like crap, that they might be inclined to at least look into the problem. Obviously I was over optimistic about that.
One thing for sure, after owning 3 Dodges, I can tell you that Chrysler is VERY tight when it comes to covering warranty issues.

my noise has been there since mile 22 now it has 32k on it and its geting louder. now I can hear it all the time since I put my stock exhaust on tonite. siting in the drive thru it sounds like in driving a cummins when next to a wall. it really sounds like a rod knock to me seeing as the closer to the crank I get the louder it is. I put my ear close to injectors and just normal dodge clicking but near the side of the block or around the crank it is bad. and its all the time not only when cold. always has been. an exhaust leak quiets down once the metal expands this noise dont quiet any
My v6 sounds like that too, When I asked the dealer they said it was injectors and that it would get louder when its cold??? Im still having issues with belt noise at startup (below 15 degrees) but after reading this thread I may have them check out the engine noise the next time i bring it in to get it on record.
