I'd go buy some zip it paint stripper, first, and strip the clearcoat off the wheels, first..

Then paint them....

Same as everyone above.......... I went to Discount bought some paint, applied stripper, sanded, applied coats, and bam your done.

I also painted my rims black, but went with the yellow calipers. They stand out a hell of a lot better then the red.

This makes no sense....

So, you wiped them down, dried them, sanded them, painted them, using three color three clear, but you aren't doing this til it's warmer?

...something doesn't seem quite right, here.

1) cleaned the wheels
2) sanded the rims
3) took a wet paper towel to get the dust and stuff off of the rim
4) took dry paper towel to make sure the rim was dry
5) then painted the rim with 3 coats
6) then sprayed 3 coates of clear coat
thats how we did it this past weekend on my Buddies 350Z

and i was talking about MY rims aren't gonna be done till it gets warmer...cause painting outside when its colder and damper isn't the best time to do so.
