I have 37K on mine and haven't changed lube yet.

I was told by a mechanic (not at a Chrysler dealer) that they all come with synthetic fluids now and should go for at least 50,000 before they need to be changed.

they did coe with a synthetic, mopar synthetic isent that great. but the main reason for changing early is the break in on the gears

Pop the cover off, get splashed by gear oil, clean, coat with silicone, reinstall cover, fill with fluid to recommended level.

Except for the front diff...much more cursing involved and trying to figure out how to get a square peg into a round hole...

its not hard, loosen the bolts fot the cover then tap the cover till it comes loose, make sure you have a drain pan under it for the oil to drain into, once it stops leaking pull the bolts the rest of the way out and pull the cover all the way off, clean the gasket surfaces good and use a shop rag to wipe down the inside of the diff and cover to get any sitting particals, use eather a gasket or silicone to put it back together (do not use both), then torque down to spec (cant remember what spec was), pull the plug out of the cover and wait for the gasket to dry for about maybe 30 min, pump in the new oil till it starts to seep out the whole in the cover then put the plug back in. All done
