How can we drift?
real good advice, now he's going to go blow up his truck or watch his transmission roll down the pavement in the rear view mirror. more than likely he'll just wreck it because IT'S NOT A FREAKING SPORTS CAR.
4500 rpms on my truck is not very high up there...
I'm not saying to do this anywhere where it's not legally allowed... like autoX, or things of the sort...
I also, wouldn't do it if the rear hasn't been lowered, and if you are riding on stock wheels...
I know my truck, and I know it's limitations...
If you don't know both, I don't suggest doing this...

Keeing in 1st gear for me works, or downshift from 2nd to 1st into a corner, about 4500rpms, and nailing the gas, the car will pull a drift unlike any other...

But yet awhile ago on the thread about doing power burnouts, you said you couldn't do it with a 6 speed? [&:]

As far as his driving ability is concerned, thats up to him to figure out if its a good idea or not. I am not his conceince. non of us are. I am guessing that if you doubt your abilities as a driver, then you wouldn't want to drift. That is unless you dont know that drifting is a controlled loss of control...
Well, I found out that the reason I couldn't spin the tires is for one...
My 20s weigh in at about 70 pounds per corner...
Had too much air in them...
Wasn't letting clutch out high enough...
Now, I've dropped the psi down to around 32...
Let out clutch around 4,000rpms...
Tires spin... a lot...
Orrrr...... put my stock wheels back on, and just let the clutch out normally, and just stomp on the throttle...

oh hell yeah I knew that much :-)
I was just wondering if there was a competitive thing I didn't know about. BTW the 4.7 with 2WD spins em good, especially the crappy goodyears that come stock, I do it all the time in the rain (goofing off in the parking lot) but haven't tried pushing it on dry pavement...
