Dealer Sucks!
Well back to dealer again for clunk noise in R/Front. Dealer says stabilizer link is weak and must be replaced. Quess what they don't even havr a$20.00 stabilizer link in stock. Good news part will be over nighted.I don't really think that is the problem, my bet is ball joint.
i had the same clunking noise going over a simple speed bump, come to find out the ball joint had broken from its rivets and was moving around in the a arm. by doing this it started to wear into it. had to bring truck back to shop and they replaced everything. so far so good. just hit 51000 miles, on my 05 cc

My problem is (and it's probably the same as a lot of other members here that took their truck to the dealer for front end noise) that after making the complaint to my service department at least 4 times, they tell me there's nothing wrong with it. The last time they replaced the rear sway arm bushings, which did help stabilize the back of the truck, but it's the same freakin' story every time with the front. "Cannot duplicate customer concern". Drive it over a sewer cover, pothole, speedbump, or any other 'diversion' in the road and the front end clunks like it's falling out, but yet they "can't repeat it". Blah...bunch of morons.
Here's a good one. You guys will LOVE this! The last time I had it in for the suspension (when they replaced the rear bushings) I also had an exhaust leak that ended up being a broken manifold bolt in the head. They replaced it and then tried to tell me that the noise I was hearing in the front end was caused by the loose manifold. [&o]
My dealer is like that too. Took my truck in to get an oil change and took them almost 2 weeks to do it. Like WTF. When I had my SX R/T, I needed a new shock for my front passanger side. Took almost 4 months cause they kept on ordering the wrong one. They are useless POS's. They have no idea what the hell they are doing. They should just shut and look their doors up ever. This is why i'm getting rid of this POS truck this summer. Going with something more reliable and better on gas. Woot for Honda.
"Well the stabilizer links were replaced and the clunk is back after two days. I hear it over speed bumps. It happens more when it's above 30 degrees."
Dang, Ive got the same thing, but since its winter and not seeing many days over 30 degrees Ive decided to wait until spring..... oh well. I did have the dealer look at it when they replacced my serp belt and they said everything was good...
