Mine should be decent being v8 and only 2 wd club cab, should be fairly light... haven't ran a pickup before so I am sure I would butcher the launch the first few times!!

you wont have much of a problem with spinning on the launch. do you have any idea how much rubber is layed down there??? just go around the waterbox and dont get your tires wet, you'll be fine. I would say low 16's for your truck's stock setup.

15 seconds flat might be over optomistic just trying to get a feel for what others would think 1/4 mile time might be. I know the Dakota will be the slowest vehicle I own by far with the exception of my other 3 Dakotas. Has anyone seen any magazine tests on the new 4.7 times? My 2000 dakota with 3.92s is much faster than my 2005 with 3.55s.

Yeah, frenchys truck is faster than mine... with out a doubt.
Our computers destroy our shift points in these trucks.
I make enough power, the computer doesnt know when to shift.
I am hoping that I can afford some cams or a turbo this summer... now that my warranty is Bye-Bye...

normally when I/m in go fast mode... it shifts when ever the **** it wants to.
