Satin Silver painted radio bezel....fits the 2005-2007 Club & Quad Cabs


Before:



Take off the bezel....two screws underneath:


Pull the bezel towards you (it just snaps into the dash):


Unplug the harnesses & connectors from the back of the bezel to get it free.


Once it's free, swap the HVAC controls (4 screws on the back), the pocket or 4x4 control (3 screws), and the pocket or Club Cab airbag on/off switch (3 screws) over to the other bezel.



Reconnect the harnesses, snap it back into the dash & put the 2 screws back in and enjoy:

I think i'll paint my own...doin some customizing to it anyway!

The woodgrain is just disgusting & hideous.....so glad to be getting rid of this truck (gas hog & payment) & that ugly interior!

am not sure what they were thinking with the fake wood grain bezel. not a bit of the truck has it and the bezel sticks out like a rore thumb. MIne is black so it is managable. But the silver looks good!

 

do they make a bezel that is a dark gray with a cross-hatch patern. I can't remember what the design is called, but i think i remember seeing the degin in other dodge/chrysler vehicles.

 

My truck has that "cross-hatch" pattern bezel.

 

i just found out that my dad just bought an 06 dak 3.7l ext cab with a silver/cross hatch bezel. I got him talked out of it to trade out of my wood grain.

 

Yeah they did it on both the newer Durango & Dakotas......never understood why though because everything else is silver or black....dunno

And then on the Rams they mix the woodgrain & silver....which is even weirder.....just pick one style & stick with it, lol


First thing I said when I took my truck was that I wanted them to throw in the Laramie (silver) bezel in the deal for free & they did.....I couldn't stand the woodgrain if I was gonna take the truck

 

Yeah there were some other options for the radio bezels:

The NiteRunner edition came with the painted black one
The Laramie came with the Silver painted one
Then there was the woodgrain one (I think on the SLTs)
Then there was all black one (on the SXTs??)
And then the dark gray/black "cross-hatch" pattern one
