Doing anything to Dakota's is a waste of money. Just like buying one. Overpriced POS's
I'm always suprised by the people that come in here and bash Dakotas for being "POS's"...you'd think with a hatred like that, the test drive would be enough to convince them to get something else.
But good luck with the hours of wiring and fitting up that new sound system.

Not only do you never have anything worthwhile to say, you say the same thing every time. Do us all a favor and go buy a ford so someone else can listen to you complain.

That, or, go play catch with some of your retard friends, in the fast lane of a freeway, while having anchors tied to your feet...
The less retarded people in this world, the better...

My 98 Dakota..... trans let go at 346,000 miles. I retired her. Very minimal cost to keep her on the road except for a couple of water pumps and brakes due to a bad caliper. (Also used as a chase truck for off-raod racing)
My 06 Dakota had 26,000 miles when she met her fate on the 405 freeway. Slammed into the rear from a car traveling 75MPH, when my truck was at a dead stop. The only injury from my truck was my girlfriends bruised knee. The lady driving the Corolla was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
My 07 only has 2,500 miles, but I know I will have many memories in the upcoming years.
My company work trucks have always been Fords...... which truly stands for Found On RoadDead. They always left me stranded and towed into the mechanics shop.
Personally, I blame Dodge for not marketing the Dakota better. Look how many 2nd Gens are still on the road and looking new. Now if we could only get aftermarket shops to realize that us Dakota owners take more pride in our trucks.
