Default Rear wheel well liners?

My wife commented about seeing the truck bed behind the rear wheels (mine is silver so there's lots of contrast) I didn't find anything on the forum or online for the 3rd Gen Dakota so I just sprayed the rear fender wells with some of that "spray on bed liner" stuff. One can was <$8 and I thought it worked OK.

Nice. I bought a black Dak so I don't have to worry about that.[8D]

I GOTTA' get me a set of those flares though! Ugh, why can't money grow on trees?

One question though, Dj. Why does your tailpipe look so friggin' tiny? What dimater pipe is that? It's looks like 1 3/4" or something. [&:]

It's not undercoating. If you look in most auto parts stores or even W-M they have one-part polyurethane products in spray cans or in gallon cans. It's a DIY bed coating material and goes on with a definate dimpled texture. My old Focus came withFELT rear wheel liners! I coated them with this stuff and it looks factory. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Yeah, the stock tailpipe does look like a pencil doesn't it? (gotta fix that!) I think it's the combination of the fender flares and theOEM "I wish I was a 4x4" size tires they put on.

Yea, those tires do look kind'a puny, even compared to the factory ones that came with my truck before I went to the 17s. [8D]

The reason I asked about the tailpipe is that it looks ALOT smaller in diameter than my stock Dakota exhaust did. When I had the resonators cut off, they welded in a piece of tailpipe an 1/8" smaller in diameter so they could just slip it in the old pipe and weld it together, and yours looks even narrower than that. Ghetto, I know, but that's how they did it.

Is yours a 3.7? Maybe that makes a diff in the tailpipe.

Mine's a 2006, 4.7, stock exhaust. I just measured it and it's 2-1/2" at the tip.

Thanks dude. Wasn't trying to be a pain, but damn...that exhaust looked small to me.

That's not what your girlfriend said to me last night when she called...

Said there was a lot of rust in the bed, and needed someone to take care of it, for her... so, she called me...
