2009 suzuki equator(MORE )
"i didnt need to think it out. as soon as i saw "suzuki" i knew it was gay."
Theres some maturity for you
In any case, the Frontier is not a bad truck, plenty of hp, maybe not great for towing... I agree w/Frenchy, this one has a nicer front end look than the frontier.

i test drove the frontier when i was shopping for what ended up being my new Dakota....it's pretty powerful....just didn't seem as strong as the Dakota...i was afraid pulling the trailer would hurt it, and didn't have that fear with the Dakota.

lets turn down the Flames in here guys.
As far as the truck... Its not my cup of tea, not one for the huge front ends like that or the new tundra...

It almost seems like the Japanese companies are trying to make their American market trucks bigger and beefier all the time to make them more 'attractive' to us?
Automotive news has reported that Nissan and Chrysler are looking at a joint agreement that would let Nissan build the midsized trucks like Frontier and Dakotas while Chrysler would build the large pickups like the Titan and Ram. Sheet metal would be about the only differences.
i dont know why so many of you have problems with suzuki's i have had 2 suzuki bikes and i little hatchback car. it was one of the best cars i ever owned. 50+ mpg. plus personally i like the looks of the truck. dont knock it till you try it.
BadassR/T: While that's still mostly true in the fullsize market you're sadly mistaken. Brand loyalty is one thing but when someone else gets the better of a company they should respect that and do something about it, Dodge has yet to do something about it. Standard features on the Frontier: http://www.edmunds.com/used/2007/nis.../standard.html
Two things to point out are 4 wheel disc brakes and 4 wheel ABS. Something many of us have found annoying about our Dakotas, most don't have 4 wheel ABS (stupid move) and none of them have 4 wheel disc. The Frontiers have better ground clearance and are considered better off-roaders. Their V6 makes more HP than our V8 does and their max tow rating isn't far behind ours. In fact it's above some configurations of Dakotas. Not to mention their front suspension doesn't ride like a waterbed.
Why am I saying this, am I a Nissan fanboy? No. I do recognize that attention should be given to the merits of a vehicle more than just the name on it. Nissan has produced a good midsize truck in their frontier and I am able to respect that. Dodge really dropped the ball on a lot of things they could have done with the 3rd gen Dakotas to make them an excellent truck and thanks to that Dakota sales have floundered enough that Cerberus is now considering cutting the Dakota out of the lineup (and it seems replacing it with the Frontier in exchange for Nissan getting a rebadged Ram, although this is just a rumor). I don't necessarily like that idea from a standpoint of liking Dodge but quite frankly if they can't turn Chrysler around somehow there won't be a Chrysler at all down the road...
