Dodgeneeds to realize is they need to make some options standard and lower prices to compete with the toyotas and nissans of the world. 4 wheel anti lock brakes should be a standard item not an option and only with certain packages. I still feel the dakota is the best midsize truck out there but it could be better. Its a great platform, a good begining. Now if dodge would put more effort into making it better they would have two solid trucks the fullsize ram and a midsize truck for those of us that can't afford a ram. That suzuki ain't a bad looking truck. Those of you import haters out there remember the toyotas and nissans are assembled in the U S of A by american workers. Keeping americans working is what its all about no matter what company name is on it.

your right Altair jap made trucks and cars are taking over the market and they are pushing there V6s just as hard as a 8, i feel our 8s could be pushing alot more then what we are pushing right now, if you can get more HP outta a 6 wtf kind of joke is that, we have an 8 and it should have more then this nissan truck, dont get me wrong i was going to buy a titan but i would NEVER buy a frontier..... i hope the dakotas stick around and hopefully one day be the best dam mid size truck in every category.

One comment about prices...Dodge's may have a similar or higher list price than the Toyota or Nissan, but there's a lot more room to negotiate with Dodge...when I bought my Dakota, the Dodge was listed around $26K, the Toyota at $26.5K and the Nissan at $23K....trying to negotiate, Dodge dropped the price to 20.5K, Toyota to $25.5K and Nissan to $22.2K...

Trying to get those import salesman to negotiate was like pulling teeth--they were stubborn, especially the Toyota people. I had to play hardball right away and eventually just got up and left when they wouldn't drop the price enough.

F- that suzuki is gay i dout you will see any of these on the road b/c everything else just plain and simple this cant compete with AMerican TRUCKS
Hmmm, I would have to disagree since there already seem to be plenty of Frontiers on the road right now, I see mroe of them then I do Dakotas. i agree with Altair, just because you don't like imports calling them "gay" doesn't exactly fix the problems Dodge is having with the Dakota....

To me the styling of it almost looks like a cross of the Tacoma and the Frontier. It's kind of neutral for me, don't really dislike it but don't really like it either.

I agree,I think the ext cab in black is a little sporty, however, I think I would like the Olive dab green..it just says take me off road.

Hell, to me it looks exactly like a Frontier, just with a different nose. There's less aesthetic difference in this than there is between our trucks and a Mitsu.
