they kinda looked at me funny and some told me that it wasnt good for the valves...and i unerstand how it would ..i guess it has to do something with the back pressure but i have no clue and when i had it done i lost a lot of my low end.
Yep it's true. I had a buddy that did that too and I warned him for a year till finally his car told him itself. In the end his heads needed some rework. You don't want to open it up and have no back pressure especially on daily drivers that don't run all the time at full throttle. And what you do with your exhaust can affect hp & torque. Usually its one or the other that you see more gain in. Y pipe headers usually give more torque as does 2-1 pipe to muffler. All-one headers give more hp. So do X pipes b/c they help create a vacuum behind it as exhaust travel creating a scavenging effect to the next opened valve.

Kreachers stickin with a Cat and muffler is best.

Also I think glasspacks sound loud but not good. They sound too "poppie" at high rpms. But that's just my opinion. I believe there's a muffler that came out last year that simulates an x pipe inside the muffler designed to have the same scavenging affect.

so i did the glasspack route. got the trush brand from advanced auto. took the muffler and both resonators off and welded up 2 1/2 inch pipes in place of the 2 resonators and then welded in the glasspack in the stock location. the exhaust exits in the stock location, its not too loud but loud enough for it being a daily driver and the family vehicle. i noticed around the city i can get 19 mpg but on the highway its stuck on 18.8. thats really good considering city was only 14 the night before. i got to get up under it in a few days and weld some more bc it leaks just a little bit.
