The new liberty has a different headlight setup. I like the round headlights the Patriot has. I do like the liberty and the saleswoman tried at first to interest me in one but I don't like the 3.7L V6. Though I'm sure it would have a slight improvement over my V8 dakota The 4 cylinder in the patriot just had better mpg numbers. I was very suprised on the test drive at how peppy the 4 cylinder is. First mod will be a K&N filter.

Good luck with the Patriot. It is Jeep's version of the Caliber. It is a nice car. Good MPG and some pep. My sister has a Caliber SXT...same as the Patriot...and loves it.

 

Sorry to hear you let the Dakota go. The new Patriot looks good though. How are ya likin' it so far? It's one of the vehicles I'm considering whenever it comes time to get rid of the Dakota. My lease on the Dak is up in 9 months and I don't know whether I'll buy it then or not. I'm also liking the new Avenger R/T's. Also like the Honda Civics. xx1479, how are you liking your Civic? Do you have a coupe or a sedan?

 

So far so good with the patriot. Just drove it home in ice and snow storm and it handled it great. I just saw on the web site of the dealer I traded my dakota to that they are selling it for 16,998.
