Well I traded my 05 dakota for a 2008 Jeep Patriot. I just could not afford the gas anymore. The patriot is a great ride. The 4 cylinder has a lot of pep. Not like my V8 dakota but I can live with it for the better gas mileage. I hated to get rid of it but I didn't get a raise at work this year so it had to be done. I'll save over a grand a year on gas and my insurance rate dropped a 100 bucks a year. Plus the patriot will probably have more aftermarket support (there is one 2.25 inch lift kit out for the patriot already)
I just want to say that this forum is the best on the net. I belong to the patriot forum and it's ok but not as good as this one. I learned so much about the dakota and I appreciate all the advice I got from you all on mods and stuff.
If anyone who is in the philly area want my truck its at chapman chrysler jeep in warminster Pa.

sorry to hear you let her go, but i think youll like the patriot. one of my best friends is buying one either this spring break (when we go to colorado on our way to breckenridge) or this summer. their nice little cars. you should check in now and then

Ya, mod the Patriot, I like the vehicle, overall, just hate the front end on it...

I bet you could get mid - high 30s in the mileage department, with it...

 

More like mid to high 20's and that's being generous. Still much better than the mid to high teens on the Daks. I kept my Dak but I got rid of my Magnum and picked up a 07 Civic, lovin the 35MPG's.
