Default Leather Steering Wheel Installation Question

Has anyone upgraded their steering wheel to another OEM leather one? I was thinking what it would take for the DYI'er to upgrade. I was thinking specifically about the leather with audio controls factory steering wheel. Is this something best left up to the pros? Will the airbag ever work afterthe new install?any info is appreciated...

Thanks - Keith

I know I wouldn't screw with it. Changing the steering wheel could get dicey with the airbag.

Which is why you turn the truck off, unhook the negative battery cable, wait 30 seconds, then, start work...

I think the airbag would not be a problem. It shouldn't be that hard to change the steering wheel.

Being mean to moderators is a no-no...

I'm just stating the safe way to go about changing it... as there are a few people who have taken steering wheels off the Dakota's...

So ya... safety is all I was going for...

Also, being a n00b, and a dick, is a bad combo...

Eh he's a little abrasive sometimes but he's a good guy. Although SilverGhost probably thinks he's a dick right about now, lol
