The second the new Rams become available the Dak is going bye bye!

 

I have said the same thing. The new Ram is beautiful. I have my brother who is a long time Chevy man wanting one.

 

I like my truck, I don't know if I love it. I'm just curious to know what you think makes the Dak great? Don't get me wrong, it's a good truck but I would hardly say it's great.

 

I'd wait a year before buying it, let the 2010 modle come out, or you may end up finding it has a ton of issues... like the 05 Dakotas have...

 

i like it but i gotta agree with frenchy on this one, bad move if u buy it on new year of a body changealot, also u may find that they may come out with a srt ram i kno they making an R/T so i would hold off but thats up to u, thats just my 2 cents

 

I agree about waiting until '10. Let them iron out the tweaks first.

 

The best thing I like about the Dakota is the smaller size vs my Ram SRT10. FOr a daily driver I prefer the Dakota because it is easier to park, drive etc. The 2008 dakota is much better than the 2005 dakota IMO. I do think the new 209 ram will be good but I would also wait for 1 year before buying one.

 

Yep 2010 and maybe the 2500 will have adopted the new style.

 

Also if you wait till 2010, there will be an available V8 CTD, and a Hemi Hybrid.
