Anyone else have new info? Are other distributors on line to sell Monroe shocks for 3rd gen Daks?

 

They cost about $175.00 with free shipping this month. My hope is that they will correct the mushy front suspension and according to the specs, they should reduce lean on cornering as well as lessening front end dip on braking. They've been shipped according to shockwarehouse.com. I plan on installing them myself.

 

Any updates on these new Fronts? Do They help with the front end diving under braking?

 

My new shocks arrived yesterday...just about a year after my initial order. I'll probably buy the same type for the rear and install all 4 at the same time. I'll need a new set of spring compressors for the fronts.

I installed the front shocks yesterday. It was not an easy task, I don't recomend doing it yourself unless you have the tools and skill. The coil springs are reallychallanging to compress.
Since it took a long time to do the job, I only drove 20-25 miles on city streets to try them. They made a major change to the ride. No more bouncing front end when you hit railroad tracks. You can feel small bumps and road cracks but not like before. It was worth the expense and work. I just wish I could have done it 3 years ago when I bought the truck.
Now I'm anxious to do the rears.

 

Do you have a TM leveling kit on it? If so how is in installed, above or in the strut?

Dear friends, this is my first post on this great forum, and just as you I have been expecting this shocks for long, but I have a question, I read on this same topic that this front shocks will fit on a 4WD QuadCab '06 , but I contacted shockwarehouse and they answered that was not right.... Can anyone please direct me to the real answer??? I am really anxious to have this shocks.

I also have a"bouncy DAK front end"(06, 4WD, Quad Cab, 3.7). I called Monroe yesterday and ask the same question... "what about 06's". He indicated the testing for the 06 has not yet been completed and at this time he has no estimated completion date[:@]Anyone out there tried the 05 strut on the 06?

05-07 are the same, infact my parts guy corss referenced my 05 Lamarie to an 07 TRX and it is the same PN#. I replaced mine last year and installed a Trailmaster leveling kit.

I am now waiting on feedback on the Monroe's with the leveling kit!
