Herculiner is in!! Some pics
Well, I finally got the Heruliner put in. I spent about a day and a half scuffing up the bed. I used the pad that comes in the kit and I bought an attachment that fit in my drill and used that. I'm not sure what it's called, but it was in the body repair section of the parts store.
After much deliberation, I decided to bring the herculiner over the rails and down on the sides slightly. I took my time getting the tape lined up on the sides and the tailgate. I used 2in blue painters tape for this.
I got the first coat in pretty easily and did the second coat later that night. Of course, it started to rain shortly after I got the second coat down. I layed by cover on the back until it stopped raining. Unfortunately, some of the Herc was messed up from the cover sitting on it.
So, I went to Autozone and bought a quart the next day and redid the rails. I'm glad I did because it really added some meat to the rails.
BTW, Autozone has the gallon kits for $89.99 with a $20 mail in rebate right now. Heckuva deal.
Here are some pics. I know, the truck is pretty dirty, so lets keep those comments to ourselves

I am very pleased with the results.

RE: Herculiner is in!! Some pics
There were a couple tips I forgot to add in:
Leave the drain plugs in and tape them off while installed. I just taped the hole and I haven't been able to get them back in yet. The part that goes down into the hole to latch the plug in place isn't long enough to hold with the Herc raising the main part off the bed.
Put some newspaper under the tape on the sides to catch drips and little rubber chunks that fly when you are doing the rails.
Leave the screws for the cleats in and tape them while installed. I was just very carefull when doing around the bolt holes, but leaving them in would have been much less stressfull.
Get an extra quart before you begin so that if it's not as thick as you like, you can put a third coat on in a timely fashion.
Take the tape off within an hour or two of the coat drying. I took it off after the second coat and then decided to do a third coat on the rails. It was pretty easy to reapply the tape since the lines were clean. I didn't press the second tape on hard enough and had some leakage to clean up once I took the tape off a second time. A rag soaked in MEK took the little stuff off no problem.
The biggest thing- Check the freaking weather before you begin. Make sure, if you're going to be outdoors like me, that there isn't rain for a few days. I got rained on after the second coat, but got the tonneau on to keep the rain off, and it drizzled after the third coat, but I see no damage done.
