Lowering a 3rd gen dakota??
Has anyone lowered their 3rd gen Dakota? If so, where the heck are these lowering kits for our trucks. I know some might think that truck are supposed to be lifted, which are nice too. But i'm more into the street look like the 2nd gen Dakota R/T. So if anybody knows where to find lowering kits please spread the news. Thanks!!
Something like this? http://www.gcustoms.com/catview/cate...Lowering_Parts That help you out? Also check out stylintrucks.com to see what they have.
Only thing I am aware of are the 2" rear lowering shackles that level the truck out. This auction's expired but these are the parts to look for: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHACK...QQcmdZViewItem
I know Superdak has them on his so you can look in his gallery to see what it looks like.

I've got a set of those planned in the future, whenever I replace the shocks I'll take out the TM kit and install the lowering shackles. For now the TM kit will stay till I can afford new shocks.
i ordered those dam shackles and yet to recieve them, no email no nothing, kinda getting pissed, the only hope was today i got a ups tracking for something i have no idea what its for, hopefully its that!
so while you are waiting around you should have went out and purchased new bolts. dont wait until the install, you may kick yourself if you need to cut them off

here is what i did. i lowered the front by cutting 1 and 1/3rd rounds out of the front coils . this lowered the front down about 2" . i lowered the back with the lowering shackles and by takeing the bottom leaf out , turning it over and putting it on top of the stack and clamped them all together. the rear is down a total of 3" . i know everyone says don't cut your springs but we have no aftermarket support. maybe this helps !!!!!
