Yea, I was just sitting down organizing my thoughts. That came to mind. Always nice to have an ace in your sleeve. Also, I just called them to let them know I have a meeting with my attorney tomorrow. The lady was PISSED! Oh well.

Glad to hear it. Needed someone to say that's the route they would go as well. I've been doing a lot of reading and plan to do a lot more on the tricks of the car salesman. I'm actually thinking about going around pretending to be interested in a car and see how many of the tricks they used. My goals being #1 find the best dealerships #2 see if i can get them flustered #3 found out how to get the best deals through trial and error. I think it'll be a huge help knowing that I'm not actually wanting one. Plus this way I'll have that experience when I do want/need another vehicle and get a hell of a deal on it.

I guess I'll have to practice on the "economy" cars. I'm sure they are killing sales with those. Talked with my buddy again. Apparently two of our mutual friends had also bought vehicles from Allan's Auto Sales and BOTH salesman they dealt with were trying to do the same thing, get cash money out of them. Supposedly both men were fired...but geez, that's ridiculous. I wonder if I should contact the BBB or something.

You should definitely contact the BBB and shouldn't give them one red cent. I agree with Eric. There's no way the dealer could have sold the Ram you traded without the title, and in order to get the title, they would have to pay off whatever amount you still owed.

Not sure why they had to raise the price $1,000 on the Dakota you bought. Couldn't they have just given you 1,000 less trade allowance? Or maybe Florida is a state where auto. loans that contain negative equity are a no-go. You might wanna check that. Some states are that way.

A newspaper article is a great idea too. A letter to the editor warning people to stay away from the place would put a nice hurting on them like you said. Definitely talk to your attorney though.

Good luck bro. Let us know how it turns out.

BTW Eric...congrats on becoming a moderator.

I bought my Dakota on April 30th...they still have not paid off the Ram I traded in. So I have now been reported to the Credit Bureaus 3 times. I talked with an attorney today, on base, and she says if phone negotiations don't work I need to call the Florida Attorney General and sue them for fraud. They aren't allowed to do that, and this also means that they are giving out paper plates month after month, which they also aren't allowed to do. I'm also under the impression that since it's taken this long I am able to take the dakota back to them and say suck it. Take this back and give me my Ram immediately...they'd be completely F'ed.
