Hit And Run
7PM July 24 - I park the truck in my apartment complex lot, pleased with my new tow hitch purchase. Go inside, make dinner, chill out and go to bed.
6:30 AM July 25 - Come out to find my truck has been hit-and-run overnight. Someone really slammed it. In a parking lot! Guy must have been drunk, but there's a truck or SUV somewhere in South Carolina with alot of red paint on it. Filed the police report, got it to a Geico shop by 10AM and it's already being worked on. Unbelieveable though, such a scumbag move. Shop says it'll be ready in about a week, and my little Kia Spectra rental is free with my uninsured/hit and run coverage. So between the $200 deductible and the MPG the Kia gets, I'll be out about $100 ni the end and get some fresh paint and a new bumper. What a day.

dude that sucks big time! And I wouldn't bet on them being drunk necesarrily, cuz when my truck got hit in the parking lot at my bro's lacrosse game by a dumbass girl doing donuts in her boyfriends truck the only reason they stuck around was because a ton of people saw her do it and they phoned the cops right away.....not that it matterd much, she didn't have a drivers lisence which in saskatchewan means no insurance!

OUCH!I hate, I mean I really HATE when people do that and wont face the problem they created. Scared or not face the heat. That sucks man, sorry to hear/see. Glad things are coming out ok. I do believe in karma, what comes around goes around for the person who hit you. There will be a day and a time. Keep up the good spirits man.

well then go for a walk around looking at the surronding areas and see if any buildings have a camera pointing towards your truck. or at least the parking lot, if so ask to see the tape, if they wont let you, then direct the police over too them

Ohh man!!! What kind of people can do that!!! that is terrible, I really hope you can find the responsible one. Besides that I was also meaning to tell you that your truck is really nice, and that the upgrades you have just done are really good looking.
