I have considered taking out the headrest as well, but everytime I think about it I talk myself out of it. 99% of the time two of my boys are in the back. Altair, it actually looks as though the headrest stopped the roofline from caving all the way down. I wonder how much farther down it would have gone without them?? I do hate how they look as much as everyone else, but I think maybe they do have purpose, even if its for kids in the back like my situation. As far as the badge, I think I agree with Altair, the dakota badge painted in black centered just above the tailgate handle would look sweet.
It's possible but looking at how they're made I doubt they provide much in the way of structural support. Also the '07 club cabs apparently didn't come with them at all, lghtngbolt told me his never had them. From what I saw when the body shop had the headliner out most of the protective structure is in the back arch. In my case it won't matter either way since I removed the back seats entirely.
Plus they are gay...hey wait a min...baracis...I figured it out, its not because you have a gay friend name Wyatt, its the damn headrests...get rid of them, unless you like being gay!
lol i think lghtngblt02 wants me to be gay... Sorry Billy, I will not make out with you.
