Didn't know if you all were aware that Moore Performance is working on a functional ram air hood for the 3rd gen Daks. I e-mailed them with some questions, this is what they had to say:

"The pricing will be as the previous generation hood.........$595.00 we should be able to offer Heat Extractors as well for this hood, we do not offer painted hoods due to the problems with chipping/scratching during shipping and also color matching etc. We are completing the molds now and expect to have the hood in production in a couple of weeks."

He said he'd e-mail me when it's complete. Let me see if the site will let me post the pic he sent.

Check the hood on the 2nd gen in the link below. It looks similar to this style. I'll have to do the whole photbucket link thing when I get home.

the only decent hood is the srt one. fiberglass hoods are not the best to deal with. you may need to swap out your hood springs to lighter ones. i know sts hoods have three types already for our trucks, might want to check out thier sight.

 

fiberglass sucks- its not even worth buying unless ur truck is strictly show and stays in garage.... do urself a favor and buy a steel one u will be much better off

 

Did a check for sts hoods and performance hoods, of course it keeps coming back with cadillac crap. Anyone have the actual website?
