lately while driving with the cruise on and climbing a hill, the accelerator will go to the floor and speed up but the truck will not down shift. if i hold my foot over the gas pedal and turn off the cruise, the truck will down shift accordingly and take off. i checked for broken or leaky vaccum lines but cant find anything. anyone have any imput on this before i go to the dealer?

 

my chevy cobalt and 05 ram do the same thing...its normal

 

I just noticed today, since reading your post, that my truck does that. I guess it is nice not getting whip lash. hahaha...
