Some of us use the traditional 5W-20 oil, and some use the synthetic oils. Its all personal preference IMO and what ya want. Just go with one or the other and stick with it and you shouldnt have any problem. I am not to sure what ya mean by the anti slug? Some others should chime in though

Bolt I think you mean 5W-30? I run Amsoil full synthetic myself, I'd recommend that to anyone, it's not the cheapest stuff in the world though. Just stay away from those FRAM filters

If you go with a synthetic, you can't go wrong with Mobile 1, Royal Purple or Amsoil. I personally use Mobile 1 Light Truck and SUV 5-30 synthetic with a K&N filter.

I run all amsoil fluids. some regions dodge put 5W-30 on the cap some regions they put 5W-20 on the cap. Just depends on how cold it gets.

Ive been using 10w-30 Mobil 1 synthetic Extended Performance in my V6 3.7L since the start.

I change my oil once a year, every October. Winds up being around 12,000 to 15,000 miles. Use a regular filter, any thats on sale but a FRAM. It's been working out fine. My last vehicle ran mobil 1 @ 10,000 mile changes and we sold it at around 200,000 miles I think.

Saves me time..

I do my truck and my GFs car every october, and it cost me around $25 a year for a 5qt jug at walmart, and a $3 oil filter.

I'm a big believer in synthetic oil and extended oil drain intervals.
