BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A's (Good or Bad?)
Hey guyz,
Tires, Tires, Tires.....so many choices.....so many opinions....and SO VERY EXPENSIVE! ha ha.
Well, I am needing tires before winter, and I've priced out and been looking at the BFG Rugged Trails. I wanted to go with the BFG All Terrains, but those are higher in price then I want to spend. This Goodyear SR-A's suck. Are the Rugged Trail a good choice? or should I look else where? I'm in the great state of IA, so I'm lookin for a good year round tire, but need something for good snow traction too. You never know when you'll get a foot of snow around here!
I'm sure eric, frenchy, lightnin or someone else who is FULL OF TIRE and DODGE EXPERIENCE can help me out! (along with anyone else who would like to chime in)

BFG RTs are OK, good tire, nothing special. they come stock on many import pick-ups.
i considered buying them for my truck but felt that they didn't have an agressive enough look to them.
As many people have heard me say in the past on this site, I still kick myself in the a$$(although not as much anymore) for NOT buying the BFG AT's. I have them on my old truck and the were awesome.

I ran the Cooper Discoverer ST's on my old truck and I loved them. They are more agressive than the BFG RT's or AT's, but not as aggressive as a mud terrain tire. They wore very well, and I didn't have any complaints about vibration or excessive road noise. Keep them rotated and balanced and you're all good. Also Dunlop makes the Radial Rover RT's that look pretty similar to the Coopers. I ran the Dunlop AT's as well and Dunlop is a very inexpensive, quality tire. I've never had any problems with Dunlop. I plan on switching to either the Coopers or the Dunlop RT's when my tires wear out. Let us know what you think.

I am running Dayton Tiberline At 2's, they have great traction in the sand and loose stuff. I cant say how they do in snow yet, but I will be able to in a couple months...
The daytons ran me around 100 a tire installed...
The general consensus is that BFG makes a great truck tire... but you do have to pay for great tires...
