joe, i did not know your truck was a 4x4, at least oncea week i put my truck in 4 wheel drive and cruise around on the back farm roads. that way i keep everything in working order. your seal may very well began to slip out of place from not doinf this. i just turned 62000 miles and have no issuses. but every 30000 miles it goes in for the fluid change.

I occasionally pop it in 4 hi doing 75 mph down the road...errr sheit I mean doing some traversing of the hay fields.

I do it when i race those Lancer Evo's and WRX Sti's from lights so i say I have AWD too..err sheit i mean when i have to drive on the beach =]

yea thats about the only time mine gets in 4wd except in the winter when im enjoying the snow covered parking lots

alright so i got the word today- transfer case seal was broken again which i knew and the check engine light was because of the knocking sensor that went to **** wtf is a knocking sensor?

a knock sensor is a sensor that will adjust the timing when really bad gas is used. ever hear an older engine that needs higher octane, knock and ping because the rating is too low. they mostly do that when they are under a load. like going up a hill.
