Default taillight tint?

I was looking at tinting my 07 black dakota taillights and was wondering if anybody has done this and what did they use. I'm considering painting them because i cant seem to find quality covers or precut tint kits.

A few people have done it with VHT Niteshades, Frenchy's actually done it on his, I'm sure he'll have more info.

Edit: That's what I get for leaving the page open a bit then posting without checking for more replies, lol.

It's not the night time you should worry about with this...

It's the day time... the way the sunlight hits the tails makes a BIG difference on viewability...

damn that stuff is pricey. i picked up those small cans of model spray at the hobby shop for the R/C cars. its the window tint spray. couple coats of that on my tails and they look good. plus at 5 bucks a can you cant go wrong.
