yesterday i did a custom 3 inch drop in the back of my friends 05 dakota... i achieved this by taking out the load leaf and the bottom leaf leaving only 3 leafs in the back turned out really nice.. ill have to get pictures of it today.
for all the trouble you went through, it would have been cheaper to get the 2 inch lowering shakles. that way any problems it is a easier swap to put truck back to stock
it took me about an hour and a half and i used all factory parts execpt spending 5 bucks on leaf pack brackets. wasnt able to get the pics today ill try again tomorrow the back is now about a half inch to an inch lower then the front and she has about 35000 on the front shocks so she is setting a record lol
also rides better then stock just affraid of blowing the factory shocks.. also we did it this way because she has a low income job and wanted her truck to sit level so thats what i did for her
i have 62000 on my truck with the factory shocks still frt and rear. gonna keep it this way. kinda like the way the frt end jumps up at the track when leaving the starting line. it puts more weight towards the rear and truck really hooks up
