Does ANYONE have any info as to how to go about removing it?

I want to take mine off so I can tint a strip on the windsheild, but have NO IDEA how to remove the mount from the glass, I have the mirror removed from the mount, but other than that, it's on there forever...

help me.

If all else fails, use the sledgehammer, your new windshield probably won't come with the mirror already mounted

Another thing to think about. If you run your strip of tint and then bond the metal piece for the mirror back on.....isnt that going to bond to the tint rather than the glass. Im wondering if that isnt going to have a bonding issue with the tint or maybe start to pull the tint off after a period of time. Im not sure if it wouldnt be better to try to cut around it. You other guys chime in if that doesnt make any sense.

Actually that makes a LOT of sense, I wouldn't trust the tint to hold my rearview mirror on...

I'm pretty sure legally I'm not allowed to have tint on my front doors, either... but ooooh well...
