might be a dum question about HO engine

anyone know what went into the HO engine to make it the HO?
just looking into what i dont have to change when i get SC....

If my memory serves me correctly, it was all internals, ie cams, pistons, etc, higher compression and a different intake manifold. I may have missed somethings...

i think its just cams and compression (pistons). when i bought my truck, i had the parts guys look up the intake maniold for the ho. they said the intakes are the same from 05+ i think. the older 4.7 did have intake difference between the 2, but i guess not now.

joe, you have. better flowing fuel injecters, a different bottom end. better flowing heads and cams. pcm is different also. go to www.allpar.com and look at the engine specs for both. there not that far from each other. only thing you would need to do when you supercharge, is to double up an the head gaskets. everything else will hold together with 8 to 10 lbs of boost

ight thanks mike... glad to hear that ill only have to do headgasket.... hows the truck holding up by the way?

trucks great, everytime we get ready to goto the track it rains. we were suppose to goto lebanon valley dragway this weekend for mopars in the valley but was rained out

that blows... yeah i think were gonna go right after my buddy gets the turbo on the srt8 jeep thats gonna be redic!

no its not an sts its another kit not sure wtf he got, but suppose to have 500hp to wheels at 3psi and u know were not running 3psi were def gonna run 5 or 6, ooooooooooooooooooooooooo man can wait its getting installed on Wednesday

Can you post pictures of the aftermath, like the size of the holes in the top of the pistons haha
