My Mitsubishi Raiders having a problem when i reverse.

In some occasions, when i am Backing up, i will move a bit then let go of the pedal to look around, then back up some more, but the second time i push the pedal the engins just stalls and revs, and when i looked at the P N D R things, none had a square on it.

Does anyone have this problem with there dakota?

What can i do?

 

If you are still under warranty I'd take it to the dealer, I've never seen anyone mention something like this but my first (wild) guess would be something up with the PCM.
