Default Hypertech or Superchips...which will you choose?

So what is everyones feelings on this one? The only tuner I have ever purchased was an SAFC II for my Eclipse GSX. What are the Pro's and Con's of each? Which will YOU choose, and why?

i might wait until the diablo tuner comes out if any. with my upgrades i dont need one. only thing i would use it for is to retard the timing for the nitrous. but i am comfortable running the zero timing jets. at 75 horsepower. i have heard there are alot of trouble with superchips doing a vin lock on trucks. hyper does not have that program. and with an extra 50 horsepower for the newer 08 daks. hyper was far more better than superchips was.

The vin lock only effects the tuner thought right? I'm not clear what it actually did but read someting about it in the documentation on the superchips site. I like this post and will be watching closely. I am very interested in getting something to wake up the 4.7 in my truck.

the one big improvement i did was switching out the gears. the 3.55 were not cutting it. i went with the 4.10 and it made a big difference. gained some horses also. just put the truck in a totaly different pattern. i am able to use more of the engine sooner building better power

the vin lock is so you cant use it on other trucks. let say you use the performance mode and your buddy wants the tow mode. you can only use it once. therefore you and your buddy might chip in the price together but can only use it on one truck. as for the 4.10. peter hany at ctaxle.com did my swap 1600.00 for the 4x4. gears, bearings, axle seals, lube, labor was the brunt of the deal
