Default JBA headers installed

got em on!!!!! they were a huge pain in the ***, but it sounds real good and has loads more torque. had to customize my y-pipe (aka take off cats) to get it back on, but now it is all good! there is a rattle im trying to find so i can fix it and the check engine light is always on cuz im now cat-less, but no problems so far. i will try to get some sound videoes up soon.

Did you really have to alter the y-pipe?...JBA says that every header they make for our trucks will bolt up to the stock exhaust. I was seriously considering a set of ceramic coated ones but if I have to drop more money of changing the y-pipe I'll probably just skip the 5hp mod lol. All I was really looking for was a a little more bottom end and lower under hood temps while towing.

I just had ceramic Gibsons installed last week. Let a shop do it, I don't really have the time myself. He said they bolted right up no problems, course headers are usually kind of a pain. I agree with Shocker on the performance gain, especially bottom end. Better throttle response throughout. Actually noticed more seat of the pants gains with these than any other mod I've done ( throttle body, exhaust, air intake and electric fan) so I'm pretty happy with them. Didn't notice much change in sound, maybe a little deeper tone but I'm changing out my FM 50 SUV for FM Delta 40's Friday so that will change anyway.
