You should always let your car/truck warm up, even during the summer. At least 30 seconds when its warm, and at least 5 minutes when its cold. This gives it time to get the oil pressure up, coolant moving, combustion chambers warm, etc. Prevents things like collapsed lifters, spun bearings, etc.

NGK Iridium IX stock #6441 ZRF6FIX-11 gapped at .044 Paid $58.00 out the door. I am really liking these plugs. Can't wait to put in the high octaine. Down to 1/4 tank. Gas is finaly down to about 2.35. I can finaly eat, wahooooo.....

My '95 Dakota has always been start and go with it. It has 270,000 miles on it, no major problems. Still runs great. Gotta love that 318. My 96 Dakota 3.9 has 120,000 miles and the only problem I had with it was when the water pump went out on a major freeway, overheated and cracked both heads. Can't blame truck for that one. But I don't hot rod a vehicle until it warms up.

ya i just let it run for a few seconds whil i put on my seatbelt and stuff until the oil pressure comes up in the summer or when its warm already in the winter


in the winter when its cold i let it run while i put my stuff in the car and then get in and go so maybe a minute or so

By warm and cold, I meant the weather, if its cold enough for ice on the windows, let it run for at least 5 minutes. If its warmed up already, or the weather outside is warm, 30 seconds is sufficient.

Holy Crap! It's just got down to 2.77 here in NC. Guess that's what happens when your state has one of the highest gas taxes.

I'm glad to hear the plugs are working out for you. Theres a theory that a iridium tipped plug requires less voltage from the ignition system to produce spark, and in result it produces a weaker spark. This could reduce HP. So the gap is made wider then the OEM gap until they match performance specs with the stock plugs. hence the gap of .044, instead of the stock .040.

Seems like NGK knows what there doing if they are running good!

My stock plugs were NGKs.
