lol california? didnt they do the tesing in Florida??? im confused is it just their plant in CA????

Regarding the stumble/hesitation/surging issue on acceleration. My HO sometimes does that, sometimes not. It is exactly as you've described. My theory is it is related to gas. I think these motors are so sensitive to octane/condensation/bad gas that they can run erratically. This could be due to the knock sensors. It seems that somtimes, it will take aff like a bat outta hell, and then a parchute opens. It's like the knock sensors react and retart the timing. I've also noticed that one tank of 87 octane will require resetting the computer if you want all the power back. It learns to be slow. Please note, I MAY have no idea what I'm talking about.

haha No his dad is on vacation with his ram, and is coming home. Its the cortex which is updatable and usable now with the Daks and Manual Trans according to him

My truck is aslo an HO. It used to surge a little when passing full throttle. With the new Iridium plugs I have not had that problem. I punch it and it sets you back and goes. I love the power of my truck and couldn't imagine what a chip or tuner would do.

no his dyno run = fail bc he needed updates fromt he site which arnt released yet
