Why waste the money on the Jet stat?

The napa one is simple to make work, and what you drill out has NOTHING to do with the performace of the stat...

Any one with a decently sized brain could figure it out blindfolded...

I'm reading the instructions on removing/installing the header's it says to use a high temperature sealer. Use a high temp gasket sealer on head gasket. It also states to apply a high temperature sealer to the exhaust pipe flare. This will be my first time performing this, if any of you guys have done this before, where and how am I to apply this stuff?

I actually was going to put new rims on it until I hit a curb and realized that I like not having to worry about tearing my rims up. I'm also going to put the skid plates on, then I really won't have to worry about running anything over. It will be like a giant skateboard.
